Straight Across Style in Polished Brass

|
CLUB FENDERS were originally used in the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries in London Clubs and in the libraries and billiard rooms of country houses. In those days, before central heating, they allowed people to stay warm by sitting around the fire.

Today, the principal advantage of club fenders is that they give additional seating, yet take up very little extra space. Most of the club fenders that we make are much smaller than the traditional designs of the past, but we can manufacture any size a customer might require. At the same time club fenders are highly attractive pieces of furniture, which help to enhance the whole look of the fireplace, and can also offer extra protection from the fire when used in conjunction with a fireguard.

ACRES FARM offer an enormous range of styles. There are many different bases and uprights, plus a wide selection of materials and finishes (e.g. brass; wood; satin black, brushed or polished steel; copper; bronze.) or any combination of these.

Many of the handsome Fireplaces and Surrounds shown in our illustrations have been supplied by Chesneys and Theale Fireplaces. |
